Discovery Meeting
First meeting in our showroom to understand your wishes, needs, and constraints. We will immerse you in the JOA style.

Home Visit
A creative designer will visit your home to get inspired by your space and understand your needs and habits. This meeting is without obligation: only after this meeting will you decide whether or not to proceed with the design study.

03.
Design Study
Design study of your project by our creative designers, including measurements and several 3D layout proposals. Your feedback guides us towards the design that perfectly suits you. This study is chargeable, but its cost is deducted from the final project budget. It reflects the time and expertise dedicated to designing your layout. 95% of our clients who have had a study then entrust us with their project.

3D Modeling
Bringing your project to life in 3D down to the finest detail, carefully prepared by our technical designers ahead of production in our Belgian workshop.

Production
Cutting, finishing, assembly, and pre-assembly of your project by our joiners in our workshop located in Braine-l’Alleud.

Installation
Placement and installation of your fittings by our experienced artisan carpenters.

What wood species do you use? +

We create our custom furniture using a wide variety of wood species, including bamboo, oak, walnut, and many other species selected for their aesthetic and technical qualities.

Our specialty lies in the use of solid wood, a noble material that gives our creations incomparable strength, durability, and authenticity.

What types of handles do you offer? +

For the handles of our custom-made furniture, we offer solutions that combine aesthetics and functionality. We notably use brass, a noble and timeless material appreciated for its warm luster and natural elegance. We also create handles machined directly into the mass of the furniture, offering a discreet grip while preserving the continuity of lines and the purity of the design.

What materials are used for custom-made hall furniture? +

We use solid wood and powder-coated steel to manufacture our made-to-measure furniture. We also offer melamine for indoor furniture and laminate for outdoor furniture, to keep budgets down.

Is there a warranty on your made-to-measure interior fittings and staircases? +

Yes, we are obliged to provide you with a ten-year guarantee for all our custom-made fittings and staircase projects. We invite you to read the details in our general conditions.

Who’s in charge of potential work? +

You can either work with your usual contractor, or use our trusted contractor. The latter can provide you with a quotation for the work to be carried out. We can also manage and monitor your work with any other contractor of your choice.

Who produces and installs JOA custom fittings and staircases? +

All our projects are designed and produced in our joinery workshop in Braine-l’Alleud. We also work with Belgian and European suppliers. Our team of carpenters will install your made-to-measure furniture.

Do you work with architects/interior designers? +

Of course, you can also collaborate with an architect or other interior designer of your choice. However, the style and visual identity of the customized fittings must remain JOA’s own.

Do you have any suggestions for interior decoration? +

Yes, we work closely with an expert interior decorator to offer you customized solutions. She will suggest lighting, decorating and color ideas that will harmonize perfectly with our made-to-measure furnishings. You’ll benefit from complete support in creating a coherent, aesthetically pleasing interior.

Do you propose to design the overall layout of the room? +

Yes, our expertise in interior design allows us to enhance your living space. We take into account your needs, constraints, traffic flow and architecture, so that we can offer you an overall layout designed down to the smallest detail.

What colors are available? +

For wood treatment, we prefer to use natural oils, offering either a natural or untreated finish. As for steel, you can choose from forty different colors, available as samples in our showroom. This allows you to customize your furniture to suit your preferences and the style of your interior.
